Hello Georgia. I coordinate the official blog from Hazelden (http://recoveryresourceblog.org) and have been following your blog for the past several months. I wanted to let you know that we think you are providing a valuable service with your insightful posts. A couple things:
    1) May we add you to our blogroll?
    2) Our latest post provides tips, written by our staff, on how individuals and families in recovery can deal with the holidays. Feel free to link to it if you wish. http://recoveryresourceblog.org/2009/12/07/tips-to-help-families-achieve-happy-sober-holidays-in-2009/

Thanks so much for your blog,

Hello Georgia, my name is Ryan and I really enjoy reading your blog. Recently my friends and I have created some really cool Recovery Badges which can be seen here: http://www.rehab-programs.org/widget

The idea behind these badges is for an individual in recovery to enter their name and recovery date, and they can have their own personal recovery badge stating how many days, months or years they have sober. I was hoping you could some how announce these new badges to your readers and maybe they would like to use them.

Thank you very much & have a great day!
    Ryan

I enjoyed reading your posts. Keep up the good work. I have just begun blogging about my journey with AA. I’m attempting to reach alcoholics who have not hit a deep bottom, but who can admit that alcohol addiction is ruining their lives. I love to write about my passion which is recovery through AA. http://goodlifenoalcohol.wordpress.com

I would like to include your blog in my blog roll and refer to your site as a resource for newcomers, in posts I do in my own blog where it is relevant. I think it is a powerful contribution to trying to carry the message.

I only started a week ago with a slightly different emphasis concentrating on all the moving stuff I and hopefully others who will contribute have experienced as the result of finding freedom from active addiction. You might want to contribute yourself.

Great Blog. I would love to follow and would enjoy your comments on my blog as well.

  11. HI,
Great blog. Be proud of it. Visit my blog at http://www.albertasequeira.wordpress.com. I lost a husband and daughter from this horrible, worldwide disease.

  12. Hello Georgia,
A great site. Every ‘how to book’ needs to include a list with a specific number, otherwise drunken fools like myself get lost. I am also in recovery, 19 years of sober time, not much but enough to get a masters degree, work as a therapist with others, and to start writing myself. Stray, the novel, which takes place primarily in a treatment center and has received great reviews. http://www.amazon.com/Stray-ebook/dp/B004EYUC10 Please check it out if you’d like. I started a fledgling blog as well http://markmatthews.blog.com/ but its just like a bastard and yes it has grinded me down. Fiction’s my game, because if you want to tell the real truth, its best to hide it in a story. Keep it up G.
